Sa Calobra is located in the Municipality of Escorca

Sa Calobra is one of the most spectacular beaches of the Mallorcan coastline. It’s the mouth of the well-known Torrent de Pareis, located in the municipality of Escorca, right in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana.

This beach is about 60 meters long and about 25 meters wide, and is located 38 kilometers away from Sóller, under the shadow of Puig Major (the highest peak of the Balearic Islands with 1,445 meters of altitude), between Morro de sa Vaca and the Morro de ses Fel·les.

Natural Monument

The Balearic Government declared Sa Calobra a natural monument in 2003 for its outstanding fauna and flora; with more than 300 species that you can see all over the place.

Thanks to the beauty of Sa Calobra, it’s a great tourist spot in the whole island and attracts many bathers during the year, both locals and tourists, who can reach the beach by sea or by a road of 14 kilometers of curves known as the Nu de sa Corbata, which is quite impressive.

The simple fact that the beach is located in the beautiful and paradisiacal mouth of the torrent of Pareis makes it an amazing place; but added to that, this beach of sand, gravel and pebbles has been a source of inspiration for many artists.

Interestingly, choral concerts are also held on the beach every summer, thanks to its excellent acoustics. You can’t miss them, they are amazing.
